The Koehler K60094 Portable Oil Heated Test Centrifuge is designed expressly for petroleum testing applications according to ASTM D96 test method. Centrifuge accommodates two 6 in. conical ASTM centrifuge tubes. Molded PTFE supports provide for maximum protection and easy positioning of tubes. Quiet running unit features elastic suspension of the drive motor for self-balancing operation. Centrifugation provides a convenient means of determining sediment and water content in crude oil, fuel oils, and middle distillate fuels. Also used in determining the precipitation number, demulsibility characteristics, trace sediments, and insolubles in used lubricating oils.
