Product Description
The SAS AirHawk protects the operator's breathing zone by pulling harmful fumes and particulate into the filtration chamber and releasing filtered air back into the surrounding room. This system utilizes two filters with varied filter media depending on the application including HEPA, ASHRAE, ULPA, Activated Carbon, or specialty-blended filter media (i.e. acid gas, mercury, aldehyde, ammonia).

Optimize your workspace with the technologically advanced features of the AirHawk. Combined with a powerful airflow, advanced electronics, and a compact enclosure, the AirHawk provides optimal respiratory protection for a wide variety of commercial, laboratory, and medical applications. The AirHawk features an easy-to-use digital control panel to allow operators to efficiently operate, monitor, and maintain the system. The digital control panel displays the real-time average airflow across the face of the hood, ambient room conditions (temperature and humidity), manual fan speed setting, actual filter runtime, filter chamber pressure, and a custom timer. On this panel, the user can select an automatically controlled airflow value (Auto Sentry) or manually set the airflow. With Auto Sentry, the operator uses simple controls to select the airflow (at the face of the hood) from 35 - 155FPM (feet per minute) and the system will automatically adjust the fan to reach and maintain the desired airflow. If the system cannot reach the desired airflow within two minutes, an audible and visual alarm will go off to alert the operator. In addition, the operator can manually set the fan speed from 0 to 100%. While using either the Auto Sentry or manual mode, the system constantly monitors and displays the real-time average airflow. Also, the control panel provides the ability to adjust the high intensity LED light in the hood and to change the units on the display between standard and metric. The operator can monitor the filter saturation on the control panel with the real-time control panel pressure display. Lastly, the AirHawk control panel remembers user configuration settings for automated airflow, light intensity, manual fan speed, and units of measure after turning the unit OFF.
