Labconco vertical clean benches deliver ISO Class 5 or better cleanroom cleanliness for sensitive, non-hazardous sample handling. Designed for applications requiring reliable contamination-free workspaces, these enclosures provide vertical laminar flow across the work area to protect samples and equipment in crowded laboratory environments.

Vertical Flow Design Advantages

Vertical clean benches direct HEPA filtered air downward through the work area, with a glass sash at the front ensuring complete coverage. This design eliminates the risk of air obstruction between the diffuser and critical activities, providing an advantage over horizontal configurations. The tempered safety glass sash features a 10° angle for reduced glare and comfortable viewing, pivots upward, and locks open for easy loading and cleaning.

Required Supporting Components (Sold Separately)

All vertical clean bench models require a supporting work surface or existing bench top, and a supporting base stand or existing casework for installation.

Work Surface Options

Black epoxy work surfaces are dished to contain spills. Type 304, 18 ga. stainless steel work surfaces have a 1" deep spill trough.

Base Stand Solutions

Telescoping Base Stand

Durable 1.75" (4.4 cm) tubular, Glacier White, epoxy-coated steel frame. Models 3' wide and larger have rear crossbar supports. Telescoping legs adjust to eight height positions in 1" increments from 27.5" to 34.5" (69.9–87.6 cm). ADA-compliant.

Models with fixed feet support loads up to 4,000 pounds (1814 kg). Models with casters support loads up to 1,000 pounds (454 kg). Caster models include 5" (12.7 cm) diameter, toe-locking, non-marking polyurethane casters with bearings. Casters add 7"–11" (18–28 cm) to overall depth.

Hydraulic Base Stand

Durable 1.75" (4.4 cm) tubular, Glacier White epoxy-coated steel frame with rear crossbar supports. Height is infinitely adjustable from 25.5" to 33.5" (64.8–85.1 cm). Supports loads up to 1,000 pounds (454 kg). ADA-compliant.

Electric models include front-accessible up/down switch. Manual models include front-accessible hand crank that may be disengaged and folded under when not in use. 230V international configuration models do not include power cord.

Replacement Prefilters

Corrugated paper prefilters trap large particles to extend HEPA filter life. Labconco recommends replacing every three months.
