​Labequip was established in 1974 with the primary goal of refurbishing, reconditioning and rebuilding pre-owned laboratory equipment. It was a longstanding goal to prevent this equipment from being discarded in a landfill. 

The market for used laboratory equipment is a difficult one. Sourcing needed parts, testing equipment to meet standards, hiring electronics technicians skilled in advanced instrumentation and keeping a large inventory of bulky equipment are some of the challenges we as a small business in this industry faced. Over the years, business has changed, especially since the pandemic. Labequip no longer repairs or sells used equipment.
