Sterilmatic Electric Sterilizer (Autoclave)
The Sterilmatic is a dependable automatic steam pressure sterilizer ideally suited for laboratories, veterinary clinics, and processing plants. Constructed with an A.S.M.E. National Board Registered sterilizing cylinder and polished stainless steel exterior, this autoclave delivers reliable performance for facilities operating at altitudes up to 6500ft (200m).

Sterilizing Compartment
The sterilizing cylinder features 3/16" (4.8mm) thick welded aluminum construction with interior dimensions of 16" (406mm) diameter and 26" (660mm) length. Total cubic capacity is 5,220 cubic inches (85 liters). The door opening measures 13-1/2" (343mm) wide by 11" (279mm) high.

Construction Details
Door Assembly
Self-sealing door design prevents opening until steam pressure is completely exhausted. The 12 gauge stainless steel door is removable for cleaning without tools. One-piece molded door gasket is replaceable without tools or cement.
Automatic Operation
The fully automatic, time-controlled sterilizing cycle includes built-in temperature control providing 250°F (121°C). Model STM-EL features adjustable temperature control settable from 230°-250°F (110°-121°C). All operating controls are conveniently located at the top front of the sterilizer. Pressure is automatically and quickly exhausted with power supply shutoff at cycle termination. Slow exhaust may be selected for sterilizing liquids.

Unit must be grounded. Main supply voltage fluctuations are not to exceed ±10% nominal supply voltage.
Installation Requirements
Service Connections
- Drain - 1/2" (13mm) N.P.T. or 3/8" (10mm) OD copper (an air break must be provided if a unit drain line is run)
- Steam Exhaust Connection - 5/8" (16mm) (vent exhaust to atmosphere)

Clearance Requirements
Minimum clearance from combustible and non-combustible construction should be 4" in the back and 2" on the sides.
Exhaust Line Requirements
IMPORTANT: Exhaust line must be vented to the outside to eliminate exhaust steam and accompanying noise from entering the room. Use 1/2" (13mm) copper tubing or suitable alternate. The overall height and length of the line should not rise more than 4' (1.2 meters) above the unit and exceed 15' (4.5 meters) with a minimum of bends. The line should slope downward after leaving the sterilizer to ensure condensate drainage. Failure to comply with this outline will affect the sterilization process.

Good quality water feed is the responsibility of the owner. A water treatment system designed to meet your water quality conditions is the best defense against poor water quality. Appliance must be installed with backflow protection according to federal, state or local codes.
