FZ-i Series Precision Balances with Internal Calibration
The FZ-i combines high-performance weighing capabilities with the convenience of internal calibration at an affordable price point. These precision balances feature a unique air-actuated internal motor that enables quick, one-touch calibration. A fail-safe mechanism automatically resets the weight to its original position if interrupted during calibration, ensuring reliable operation. Quick adjustment is accessible with just a keystroke, delivering both performance and user convenience.
FX-i Series Precision Balances with External Calibration
The FX-i Series delivers full-featured precision weighing with resolutions from 0.01g to 1mg at a very affordable price. At the core of each unit is the patented Compact Super Hybrid Sensor, which provides fast one-second weighing response time. A specially designed internal shock absorber protects against adverse effects from vertical or transverse overloading. Legal-for-trade models are available with NTEP and Measurement Canada approval.
FX-iWP and FZ-iWP Water Proof/Dust Proof Models
The FX-iWP represents the world's first IP-65 rated 1mg resolution balance. These models are dust-tight and can be sprayed with water, making them suitable for environments that would render standard balances inoperable. The FZ-iWP adds internal calibration to the IP-65 rated dustproof and waterproof features, creating a balance that can be used virtually anywhere. IP-65 rating means no ingress of dust (level 6) and withstands water jetting from any direction (level 5) as defined by international standard IEC 60529.
Key Functional Features
- Statistical Calculation Function: Displays or outputs Sum, Maximum, Minimum, Range, Standard Deviation, Number of Data, and Coefficient of Variation
- ACAI – Automatic Counting Accuracy Improvement: Recalculates average weight each time a sample is added to eliminate errors caused by variations in unit weight
- Animal Weighing Function: HOLD function freezes weighing data for animal weighing applications with ANIMAL indicator on display
- Comparator Function: Easy comparison of weighing results by setting HI and LO limits to display HI, OK, LO indicators
- Percent Mode Function: Register a sample as 100% and compare weight of another sample as a percentage
- Underhook: Allows measurement of magnetic materials and density measurements in air and water
- Response Indicator Function: Selectable FAST, MID or SLOW response to suit weighing environment conditions
- Auto Power OFF Function: Display switches OFF automatically when balance is inactive for 10 minutes as a power-saving tool

- Standard RS-232C Interface: Bi-directional communication with PC, printer or other peripheral devices
- GLP/GMP/GCP/ISO Compliant: Balance ID number and calibration data can be printed using AD-8121B or a PC in accordance with GLP and LIMS regulations
- Multiple Weighing Units: Programmable or standard units including g, pcs, %, oz, lb, lb-oz, ozt, ct, mom, dwt, GN, tl, tol, mes and MLT
