This hotplate/stirrer has a large 7"x 7" top plate, LED display and overshoot protection. Temperature can be set up to 500C providing digital readout of the set temperature. On-board memory recalls the last set temperature. Spill-resistant housing channels fluids away from internal components. Front panel features easy-to-use controls which allow users to dial-in adjustments. Integral support rod holder with locking knob accepts the optional ultra flex support kit. Kit includes 12"(30.5cm) flex arm, interchangeable 3-prong clamp, 2-prong clamp and spring clamp heads. Also available at extra cost is the support rod and clamp kit which includes an 18"(45.7cm) support rod, thermometer/ temperature probe extension clamp, 3-prong medium swivel clamp, and hook connector. Micro-processor control - Regulates both heating and stirring functions. Samples are heated to temperature quickly and accurately. Speed is precisely controlled, and provides consistent stirring throughout the entire range. Ramping feature slowly increases speed to avoid splashing, improves magnetic coupling and provides excellent low speed control. Ceramic top features a chemical resistant, reflective white top plate surface that's easy to clean. For additional safety, hot symbol warning light is illuminated when unit is heated above 40C. Remains on until unit cools below 40C, even when heater is turned off. Other features: Electronic stir brake - Quickly stops spin bar when stir function is turned off. Powerful, continuous duty motor and magnet deliver dependable and reliable stirring for a long service life (for stirring models). Stir protection - If stirrer motor stops or fails, unit will automatically shut down heater (for stirring models). Overshoot protection - If unit exceeds set temperature by 10C unit will automatically shut down. Recall last temp - Built-in memory allows users to recall last set temperature even when unit has been turned off. Supplied with a spin bar.
