The DV-III Ultra Programmable Rheometer is a sophisticated rheometer with easy-to-use intuitive controls and now with the added new capability to measure static yield stress using vane spindle geometry. Why a Rheometer? - A Rheometer measures and analyzes minute as well as broad changes in a material's rheological structure - the way fluids and semi-solid materials flow. This is accomplished by varying shear rates in micro increments. For use in research and manufacturing process control applications requiring viscosity measurements of oils, chemicals, creams, waxes, paints, adhesives, food products, epoxies, gels, asphalt and many other fluids. Features And Benefits: Two instruments in one for easily analyzing a material's yield stress and flow behavior by measuring (1) the stress response versus strain during constant-rate tests and (2)viscosity changes as a function of changing shear rate, respectively. Continuous display of: Viscosity (cP or mPas), Temperature (C or F), Shear Rate, Shear Stress, % Torque, Spindle, Program status. Also displays yield stress values (Pa, dynes/cm, and % torque). 2600 speeds for incredible characterization possibilities. Viscosity ranges (CP): RV: 100-40M LV: 15-6M. HA: 200-80M. HB: 800-320M. Has RS-232. Measures shear rate, shear stress and more. Software is extra cost. Built-in RTD temperature probe for sample monitoring. Easy-to-use keypad with numeric keys for stand-alone program entry. Stand-alone programming: Enter program requirements, start program, see the results on the built-in display. Download custom programs with RheoLoader software (included)for viscosity tests and EZ-Yield software (included) for yield stress tests. Customizable options: time to stop, time to torque, data averaging. Built-in Math Models: Models provide data analysis without the use of external software. Casson Yield Values, NCA/CMA Casson (Chocolate), Power Law, Bingham Plastic and IPC Paste Analysis calculations are included. Parallel printer, serial RS-232, and analog voltage outputs. Computer programmable using optional Rheocalc; software lets you control all aspects of Rheological testing directly from the computer. Complete with appropriate spindles, RheoLoader and EZ-Yield programs, viscometer stand, guard leg, and carrying case. Options: Also available in a Wells/Brookfield Cone/Plate version.
