The Thermolyne Locator 8 is a compact cryogenic storage system features durable construction and advanced vacuum insulation to minimize liquid nitrogen (LN2) evaporation for economical operation. Temperature uniformity assures that samples are stored at -180C (-292F) even when the vessel contains less than 5cm (2") of LN2. Vessels feature a secure locking clasp to prevent unauthorized access. Unique arrangement of numbered racks can be used with indexed boxes for tracking and easy sample retrieval. Racks accommodate 13.3x13.3cm (51/4x51/4") boxes, which are sold separately. Systems are suitable for manual and computerized inventory methods. Comes with a sturdy rollerbase for safely moving a full tank.
