The FastPrep FP120 Cell Disrupter can simultaneously lyse up to 12 samples with its patented vertical, angular motion. This rapid, reciprocating "figure-8" is unique to the FastPrep Instrument, and causes a sample to be pulverized by specialized lysing matrices from multiple directions at once. The FastPrep Instrument fits anywhere on the benchtop and is simple to operate. First, samples and buffer are added to impact-resistant 2 ml tubes pre-filled with specialized lysing matrix particles. The user places between 1-12 tubes into the sample holder and easily secures them with locking clamps. Digitally program speeds between 4-6 meters per second and times up to 45 seconds and press "run". with hardly any noise and in no time at all, the FastPrep Instrument and lysing matrix homogenize your sample while you wait! The FastPrep is unique system for isolating DNA, RNA and protein from virtually any type of cell. The FastPrep homogenizer uses a combination of mechanical disruption and Qbiogene matrix isolation kits. Specialized bead matrices are added to whole cells and are 100% homogenized in ten to fifteen seconds. Up to twelve samples at one time. This system can be used for isolating DNA, RNA and protein from Transgenic Mouse Tails, Brainstem from Bovine and Deer for BSE and Chronic Wasting Disease Testing, Difficult Vegetable Products such as seeds, stem, bark, whole needles and leaves, Bone, Fiberous Muscle Tissue & Soil. The FastPrep System combines two products into one: A multi-tube homogenizer and a molecular isolation kit. Samples are homogenized and isolated in individual micro tubes eliminating the use of metal probes and shearing blades and their associated contamination and cleaning problems. Specialized bead matrices (not included) are added to whole cells and are 100% homogenized in 10 to 15 seconds. Up to twelve samples at one time.
