Precision Systems Osmette Micro-osmette 5004

This Precision Systems micro-osmette (5004) is a freezing point osmometer. Use the freezing point depression method to provide a quick, accurate indication of total concentration. Instruments measure freezing points of solutions to 0.001C, directly translate them to measure of concentration. Widely used in food and beverage industries, chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical labs, research and quality control. Also used in clinical applications, including diagnosis of renal activity, disease electrolyte imbalance, hyper- and hyponatremia, measuring osmolality of body fluids. Easy to operate: Add sample tube to well, lower operating head to insert wire and thermistor temperature probe into the sample. Freezing point is detected by probe, with accuracy of +/-0.001C. Digital display shows results directly in mOsm/kg. Entire cycle takes between 1 and 1-1/2 minutes per sample. Speedy and convenient: Feature fast cooldown, completely zero-stable meter. Eliminate Dewar flasks, ice baths and time-consuming calculations. Generate precise results in just 50 to 70 seconds. Process 40 to 60 samples per hour. Require a minimum of operator training. Simple two-step calibration takes less than five minutes. Accepts 50uL samples. Features electronic cooling instead of a bath.
