FROM MANUFACTURER'S LITERATURE: The Nuaire NU-430-400 cabinet (Class II, Type B2) combines the ventilation of a fume hood with the personnel and product protection of a biological safety cabinet. The 430 features all stainless steel exterior and interior construction (16GA, Type 304 pressure tight design), flow through, 100% exhaust with no internal recirculation, internal microprocessor controlled air flow that controls and displays cabinet air flows, Hepex supply air providing a "Zero-Leak" bio-clean environment and easily configured with the options that you require. Standard Inflow Velocity: 105 FPM (.53 m/s) and 12" duct collar. Since the cabinet depends on a remote or plant air exhaust system for proper operation, the cabinet is internally interlocked so the internal blower will not start unless the exhaust flow is within 10% of the required air flow. Should the air flow fall below the lower 10% limit, the cabinet initiates an audible alarm and visual error messages, de-energizing the internal blower, preserving the best possible personnel protection.
