Designed for under-counter mounting, may be used as a base cabinet for a 4' hood if you have the correct framing. This is designed to be hung from a frame (with space underneath it). So unless you have the framing, you won't be able to put anything on top of it unless you make some modifications regarding the lip on the top of the unit.
