The Precision Scientific 188 dual chamber bath is a heavy-duty water bath for applications such as molecular biology, tissue culture, enzyme reactions, viral/bacterial analyses, and serology. Baths feature a one-piece insulated stainless steel chamber. Exteriors have a durable epoxy-polyester coating for corrosion resistance and easy maintenance. Front-mounted analog controls and high-limit thermostat maintain accurate temperatures. The two-chamber bath features independent controls and thermostats for each chamber. Fast uniform heat transfer is provided by direct water contact with the Incoloy tubular heating elements. A diffuser shelf distributes heat evenly, eliminating hot spots. Temperature range from ambient to 99.9C. Uniformity of +/-0.2C at 37C. Use of gable cover allows maximum temperature. Maximum temperature with chamber uncovered is approximately 65C. Includes 2 gable covers. Oil can be used in this bath.
