This Bio-Rad CHEF (Clamped Homogenous Electric Fields) Mapper power supply can be used to accurately separate everything from Yeast Artificial chromosomes to M13 inserts with a single instrument. Based on pulsed field electrophoresis technology, it also offers the flexibility of PACE (Programmable Autonomously Controlled Electrodes) which allows the user to completely control electrical field vectors with respect to switch time, voltage, and angle resulting in higher resolution, greater speed of separation and greater accuracy. The CHEF Mapper XA's system's unique built-in algorithm automatically selects the optimum conditions for your separation which interrelates 11 key variables: DNA fragment size, buffer type and concentration, agarose type and concentration, buffer temperature, initial and final switch time (ramp), pulse angle, voltage gradient, and run time. Power supply only (does not include bar code reader, probe, tubing, stand, comb, comb holder, plug molds or agarose). Includes variable speed pump (stock #23206), cooling module (stock #23208), electrophoresis cell (#K072 - compatibility with this system to be verified upon sale/refurbish) and a chamber (see stock #23207). Other chambers available at extra cost from manufacturer and not included.
