The Revco REB-2304-A blood bank refrigerator is a single door refrigerator designed to meet strict requirements established by the AABB, ANRC, and FDA for storage of whole blood and blood components. Features IntrLogic microprocessor control - digital electronic technology designed to simplify operation and deliver greater accuracy. Features include factory-preset temperature setpoint at 4C, with adjustable temperatures between 1 and 8C; icon-based controls and large, easy-to-read digital display that shows temperature within 0.1C; graphic thermometer that's steady green when temperature is normal, flashes top bar for overtemperature, flashes bulb for undertemperature. Sensor automatically initiates defrost cycle on demand, eliminating need for a defrost timer, minimizing frost buildup, and optimizing coil efficiency. Safety and security features include audible/visual warnings for temperature deviations or power failure; key-operated ON/OFF/ALARM ON master switch for setpoint security; push-button alarm test and remote alarm contacts; alarm silence, ringback and auto reset; and controller battery backup system. Alarm setpoints are preset to warn of temperature deviation at 5.5C overtemperature and 1.5C undertemperature. Blood bank refrigerators feature positive, forced-air circulation to maintain temperature uniformity throughout; directional airflow that assures quick recovery after door is opened; high-density, CFC-free urethane foam insulation that protects cabinet from ambient temperature fluctuations and minimizes operating costs; heavy-duty, industrial-grade, hermetically sealed compressors; and automatic condensate removal and defrost. Includes a 6 in. (15.2cm) 7-day temperature chart recorder. Cold-rolled steel cabinets have smooth, scratch-resistant painted finishes for easy cleaning. Doors are lockable and self-close against closed-cell peripheral gasket. Dual-pane glass viewing door(s) insulated to prevent condensation. Refrigerators also have adjustable, full-extension, stainless-steel drawers; interior cabinet lights with door-activated ON/OFF switch and independent switch on panel; and adjustable leveling feet. Capacity: 23.3 cu.ft. Has 6 drawers. STORES 360 X 450ML BLOOD BAGS. Although this item is priced to include a 6 month in shop warranty, we offer 10% off of the listed price for customers outside of Southern Ontario to take it without the warranty since the unit would have to be returned to our warehouse for any servicing requirements. This item will still be serviced and tested and guaranteed to be in good working order when we ship it. This is offered to offset the high cost of shipping such a large item back and forth, should it require service. The shipping costs and the 10% discount could very well cover your costs of having it serviced at your facility by a local refrigeration company should a breakdown occur (a worst case scenario). If no service is needed, then you have saved yourself 10% off the purchase price. Either choice is up to the individual customer - we just want to offer both options.
