8-place. Can be run at full or half capacity. Does not include glassware/manifold but may be available used from stock at exra cost. The manifold/fume exhaust units (not included) fit directly over the sample tubes and collect toxic fumes produced during digestion. Fumes are continuously removed by connecting the glass manifold (not included) to an acid scrubber (not included) or water aspirator (not included). Units heat to a maximum temperature of 650C in 10 minutes and can mantain an overall higher temperature than standard alluminum block systems. Thus, complete digestion is possible in one hour or less. Each block of four heaters is controlled by one potentiometer for consistent temperature control throughout the block. The temperature can be regulated at any setting between 200C and 650C.
