The YSI 57 dissolved oxygen meter is an extremely sensitive instrument designed for the most rugged field use. The sturdy plastic ABS molded case is shock-resistant and water-tight, which allows it to float on water. There are 3 dissolved oxygen reading ranges with automatic temperature compensation. The YSI 57 also automatically compensates for membrane coefficient and changes in water temperature. Correction for ocean salinity can be made by direct-dialing the salinity concentration, 0-40ppt, to cover the full range from fresh water to sea water. Air calibration requires only seconds to complete. This DO meter also has a provision for 0-114-130mV output for a recorder having 50K ohm minimum input impedance.
