Description:

The Bio-Rad Econo system consists of the following modules: The Model EM-1 Econo UV monitor is a dual-wavelength (254/280nm) detector for flow-through monitoring of effluents from chromatographic columns, centrifugation gradients, etc. The monitor consists of a control unit and an optics module that includes both 254 and 280 nm filters and a 2 mm pathlength flow cell. Connection is via Luer-LOK fittings for quick, easy changes. Key features include: Portable optics module with detection close to the column outlet to maximize resolution Self-contained filters Autozeroing function Coldroom compatibility LED display of absorbance Wavelength 254 and 280 nm Sensitivity ranges 2.0, 1.0, 0.5, 0.2, 0.1, 0.05, 0.02, 0.01 AUFS Detection limit 7 æg/ml (BSA in H2O) Lamp Low-pressure mercury with phosphor screen Filters 254 and 280 nm The Model EP-1 Econo pump is a 2-channel bidirectional variable-speed peristaltic pump for low-pressure chromatography or for pumping liquids in general laboratory procedures. It offers a full range of features as a stand-alone peristaltic pump, and is fully compatible with the BioLogic Duoflow system. Key features include: Flow rate display (in ml/min) and time or volume control of programs Preset calibration for common tubing sizes (0.8, 1.6, and 3.2 mm ID) Manual calibration for nonstandard-size tubing, or when improved flow rate accuracy is desired Control of the Model 2110, BioFrac, or other fraction collectors Control of run length with programmable total run volume Control of SV-3 solenoid diverter valve to divert eluent to column or waste Communication with Model 1327 Econo recorder Number of channels 2 Flow rate range (per channel) 0.01-20 ml/min (depending on tubing diameter) Tubing diameter 0.8-3.2 mm ID Maximum backpressure 30 psi (2 bar) System also includes controller.
