Description:

The Tecator Fibertec I semiautomatic fiber extraction system extracts crude fiber, acid and neutral detergent fiber, hemicellulose, lignin. It processes as many as 6 samples simultaneously. Preheat time for reagents is 10-12 minutes. This is the hot extraction unit only (we do not have the cold extraction unit). The hot extraction unitextracts, filters, washes and preheats reagents all in one vessel. No loss of sample during transfers. Samples may remain in their crucibles (not included) in the apparatus for consecutive extractions and rinsings. Or when required, they can be dried and weighed between each extraction step. The hot extraction requires 2L/Min of tap water for the condensers. Includes only items shown in photos. Balances are available at additional cost (please specify accuracy & capacity in G). Cold extraction unit and Tecator Labtec data management system are not included. Sample size: 0.5 to 3g Measuring range: 0.1 to 100% Capacity per day: up to 36 analyses (or 60 analyses with modified procedure) Accuracy: 0.1% relative The cold extraction unit (that we do not have to include) is used for defatting samples before testing, washing samples with solvent after extraction and for cold extractions (such as in the determination of lignin using 72% sulfuric acid.
