Description:

The Microm HM500 cryostat has the following FEATURES: Heavy duty construction and a user-oriented modular design. Chamber temperature down to -40C. Fast freezing stations down to -55C. Automatic defrost timer. Stainless steel rotary microtome with universal micro/macro feed system . Sections from 0.5 to 300 microns. Specimen retraction in return stroke. Stainless steel cooling chamber. Motorized cutting drive. No frost on knife carrier, microtome or chamber walls. Digital indication of programmed defrost time and actual time. Battery powered backup system for data protection. Operating controls on touchpad keyboard are within easy reach. This unit includes a rigid knife holder. Disposable knife holder may be available - please inquire.
