Description:

The high capacity Bio-Rad 583 gel dryer is ideal for labs drying sequencing gels, or multiple standard size gels. The drying surface is 35cm x 45cm. This gel dryer features three pre-programmed drying cycles to provide optimum drying for all types of gels. Minimum vacuum required: 25"Hg/125 Torr. Precision controlled temperature regulation prevents gel cracking. The exclusive design incorporates the floating heating element in the lid to heat the gel from the top while the vacuum pulls liquid from the bottom. This design maximizes uniform heating and therefore speeds drying while eliminating gel cracking and band spreading.
